Head or Heart
Sometimes I wonder—
Did you forget
what I told you
that night?
my fingers crossed the distance
that my voice could not span.
A sudden jump.
Vertiginous turmoil.
Feelings.
Thoughts.
Head.
And Heart.
Your smile is comforting enough,
and caressing,
free of any harm.
Then, those double-shaped symbols
… Have they any reason?
Any reason at all?
Sometimes,
just before falling asleep, I wonder—
Did you forget what
I
told
you
that night?
Sometimes,
in the quiet of the dark,
I wonder—
Which one should I
trust—
Head
or
Heart?
